Event description

ECO OPTIONS for LIFE AND DEATH

This project offers participants the opportunity to learn techniques from two local North West Coast Artists, Aukje Boonstra and June Hope, that can be applied to make an item for use in both life or death.

Aukje will provide the opportunity to learn the 'Essence of Eco Dyeing' which can be applied to make a sacred cloth or shroud, upcyle clothing or make a wall hanging following the workshops which is now 3hr sessions each for two weeks.

June will be adapting her famous 'Felt Pods' with a focus for use as a vessel for ashes following cremation. Felt Pods also have many options for use around the home. This workshop you will be able to make a pod you can use for whichever purpose you wish.  This is a singular session.

'Essence of Eco Dyeing' with Aukje dates:

NOTE* Aukje's session due to run from October 28th for 3 weeks below is being rescheduled to Mid/late January 2020 and will be 2 x 3hr sessions.  We will have a new posting once June's session has completed.  Thank you!

Felt Pods with June date:

Thursday 10am to 2pm, 25th November.   BYO Lunch.

Hope you can join us for conversations, friendship and skills enhancement across the life and death space.
