Eco-Printing & Bundle Dyeing
Event description
Join us for this popular and interactive workshop where we will create prints and colors from plants, flowers and leaves. We use several different locally collected plant material to transfer color to our cotton fabric. This technique creates not only prints
of the leaves used, but also can create abstract and unique affects. After a walk around
the neighborhood to gather plant material, we will then discover the different color
properties of the plants we collected. We will discuss a little bit about the process and
impact of natural dyes, and each participant will be guided through the process of dyeing an organic cotton bandana for them to take home.
