Eco Printing on Silk Oct 2025
Event description
In this workshop, you will learn a natural dyeing technique called eco-printing, and get to take home your own eco-printed silk scarf.
Eco-printing uses dyes extracted from plants to create patterns. This is done by contact-printing plant materials directly on the cloth. In this workshop, we will explore the alchemy of plants, water, heat, mordants and modifiers. We will experience the magic that happens when these elements interact.
And we will finish the class with beautiful prints on a natural-fibre scarf for you to take home.
Facilitator info
