Eco Printing Workshop with Monica Youlley

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

In this workshop Monica will take you through the process of eco-printing. You will be guided to create your own unique designs, choosing organic materials and arranging them to make greeting cards and frameable gifts using a natural dyeing technique.

You will receive focused, one-on-one time with an experienced facilitator in a relaxed setting. This process is suitable for anyone who wishes to learn a new skill, no experience necessary.

All materials will be provided and are included in the price of the workshop. Each participant will receive a detailed written description of the eco-printing process, 300gsm watercolour paper cut to size in different sizes, 3 blank cards with matching envelopes, enough foliage to complete several works and the opportunity to observe and participate in the dye making and printing process, with an emphasis on creativity and design.

About the facilitator:

After many busy years of running her own bookkeeping and marriage celebrant businesses, Monica Youlley has retired and now has time to indulge in her twin passions of ecology and mindful creativity. More recently she has renewed her association with renowned Australian artist Anne Leon and in so doing has kindled a love for eco-printing. Eco-printing is a process using Australian flora to create uniquely beautiful organic designs on paper. Among many other feathers in her cap, Monica studied at the Rush Prowse School of Art in Cape Town and has an Australian teaching qualification.
