Join us to transform soft plastic waste into sustainable building blocks called ecobricks!

We'll give a demo on how to make an ecobrick (its super easy), provide all the materials and treat you to free snacks and hot drinks. Just bring a pair of scissors, any soft plastic waste you have lying around, and a mug for drinks.

Hosted in Kaipatiki Project EcoHub, a beautiful community space near Eskdale Reserve, this workshop is part of the Ecobrick Project run by ESD (Engineering for Sustainable Development). Since launching in 2024, the we've made around 2000-2400 plastic bags worth of ecobricks!

Be part of this awesome mahi. Come along for some fresh air, tasty snacks and repurposing plastic waste into something meaningful!

This event is part of the 2026 Ecofest: Auckland’s largest environmental festival. It involves a month-long selection of events that showcase our stunning environment and sustainability mahi across Tāmaki Makaurau!
