Join us in learning te ao Māori approach to restoration!

Hands On Ecology workshop series is designed for community restoration groups and anyone keen to learn about restoration ecology through a te ao Māori lens. A 3-hour session offers practical skills for restoring private and public spaces, and may include up to 2 hours of walking—please dress appropriately and bring water/snacks.

This session covers:

Identification of environmental weeds
Methodologies for control
Windrow weeds and weed methodology identification
Biosecurity - prevention in public spaces and reserves

Registration is essential as participant numbers are limited for health and safety reasons.
