Financial Abuse is a common yet often hidden form of control that can leave lasting impacts on victim-survivors and their families.

In 2026, the theme for Economic Abuse Awareness Day is Economic Justice.

This panel discussion, presented by WLSQ's Financial Abuse Prevention Unit, will explore what financial abuse looks like, how it presents, and the long term effects it has. The panel will also highlight practical pathways to safety and available support options.

Who should attend:

This session is tailored for service providers across a range of sectors, including social services, healthcare, and community support. It’s suitable for practitioners, support workers, coordinators, and anyone working directly with individuals who are affected by or experiencing domestic and family violence.
