Ecoresilience House Open Garden
Description
Virginia is opening her garden for one weekend only!
Ecoresilience House in Research, which is featured as a case study on the Retrosuburbia website, is showing its resilience again. The garden has changed and evolved as has the house.
As Virginia and Stephen age, they have adapted some of their systems to avoid too much bending, but they still grow food, make compost and propagate plants that do well here.
They have also added some features for their grand children including a clever sand pit and a reading tee-pee.
There will be 2 tours on each day at 9.30am (with children and their enjoyment emphasised) and at 2pm (with the house changes and plans for ageing in place emphasised).
Your $10 entry fee (children are free) includes a free potted plant, packet of seeds or cutting of something you see and love (appropriate species of course).
We look forward to seeing you again or meeting you for the first time.
