Ecstatic Dance with DJ Massiah

Ecstatic dance is an intentional dance space that welcomes free form movement and expression. There are no moves to learn, or steps to master. You move your body however you desire without judgement. It's a playground for embodied expression amongst community!

Ecstatic dance empowers people of all shapes, ages, sizes and backgrounds to freely express themselves; the liberating atmosphere creates a melting pot of acceptance and the fearlessness with which others move gives permission and courage to dance without inhibition. Everyone is welcomed.

🌸 6:45 pm: Opening circle

🌼 7:00 pm: Grounding in meditation

🎵 7:10 pm: Ecstatic Dance DJ set led by Massiah

🧘‍♀️ 9:10pm: Closing meditation

🦋 9:20 pm: Closing circle- A collective time to reflect & share what is alive and to close the container we created

💫  Community Alter Space: we invite you to bring a special item with you to place on the community altar at this time to help you cultivate a safe and sacred dancing experience

💫 Cozy tea nest: Complimentary tea will be served with cozy seating to nourish your body, mind and spirit.

About Massiah:

Massiah is a Jersey based DJ who found his passion for playing music in his late teens. He spent his early years djing clubs, concerts, and colleges, playing genres of edm, house music, and hip hop. 

Massiah took a break from playing music due to a huge lifestyle change. During that time he discovered a love and passion for ecstatic dance which sparked a fire in him and brought him back to the art of playing music. He now mixes genres  of Tribal sounds with a mixture of house edm and bass. For Massiah, mixing and sharing now feels like serving the gift of medicine. Massiah has been spending time mastering the art of bringing people on a journey through dance and is ready to make his debut as and Ecstatic Dance DJ!
