Join Carolyn, a trained Forest/ Nature Therapy Guide, for a journey of gentle exploration along Edgars Creek.

Together, we will walk, sit, observe, and move through this beautiful natural environment on Wurundjeri Country, taking time to notice the changing seasons, local wildlife, and the subtle wonders often missed in our busy lives.

Nature Therapy is a guided practice that invites participants to engage deeply with the natural world through a series of sensory and creative experiences. Rather than focusing on fitness or destination, these sessions encourage presence, curiosity, and connection to nature, to ourselves, and to one another.

Over six weeks, participants will experience the creek in different ways, with each session uniquely shaped by the weather, the landscape, and the group. Whether you are seeking relaxation, inspiration, stress relief, or simply an opportunity to spend more time outdoors, this course offers a welcoming and supportive space to slow down and reconnect.

Research suggests that Forest Therapy can support mental and physical wellbeing, helping to reduce stress, improve mood, regulate blood pressure, and foster a greater sense of calm and belonging.

No prior experience is necessary. Suitable for adults and young people aged 16 years and over.

Thursday walks go for around 90 mins, Sunday walks are around 2 hours.

Thursdays 1pm - 2.30pm
Sundays 10am - 12pm

About your guide

Carolyn has over 25 years experience teaching and facilitating groups outdoors. She completed her training as a Forest Therapy Guide with the International Nature and Forest Therapy Alliance in 2022 and has been running regular Forest Therapy and Nature Connection sessions in the Northern Suburbs and beyond, ever since. She is a trained yoga and mediation teacher and works at the Royal Botanic Gardens as a Learning Facilitator.

Carolyn uses a trauma-informed approach. She has a current first aid certificate and Working With Children Check and is a licensed tour operator with Parks Victoria.
