Description

Discover the art and joy of nutritious, sustainable eating in this hands-on workshop, designed for anyone dreaming of a more self-sufficient lifestyle. Learn how to make the most of local, seasonal ingredients while building your confidence and creativity in the kitchen.

We’ll begin with a stroll through the vegetable garden, discovering a variety of so-called “weeds” that are not only edible but often surprisingly nutritious. Then it’s into the kitchen to prepare simple recipes, including pesto, a smoothie and tea, that showcase these often-overlooked ingredients.

The workshop is designed to give you practical ideas and recipes you can easily recreate and incorporate into everyday life.

Hosted by Silke Middlehauve, who welcomes you into her home to share her passion for cooking and growing food. A passionate cook for many years, Silke is keen to show that eating healthily and seasonally is within everyone’s reach and that even a small garden can provide an abundance of delicious possibilities.

Practical information will be provided after registration.
