EDMSSA’s Fall 2024 Training Sessions

We're thrilled to invite all EDMSSA member shops to register students for our Fall 2024 Training Sessions, set in the lively city of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania! From October 15th - 17th, this event offers a fantastic opportunity to hone your technician's skills, share best practices, and connect with fellow professionals in the industry. With a rich lineup of workshops and networking events, there's something for everyone, whether you're looking to refine your expertise or explore new techniques.

We will be offering the following:

GCT1:  The General Communications Technician certification is a program modeled after communication systems basics and the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) guidelines covering all the disciplines in the COMT program.  The purpose of the GCT1 is to provide a study program for RF and basic electronics, along with the appropriate certification testing that covers all the many areas a radio communications technician and engineer will encounter in the public safety communications or business/commercial radio field.   

Three-day class: Oct 15-17 

Course fee includes instructor, meals and snacks during the class, and ETA Test Fee.  $2,150

MCEI:  Mobile Communications and Electronics Installer.  This certification includes basic knowledge concepts of land mobile radio (LMR) and associated electronics equipment installation.  This also incorporates the required skills applicable to all the functions required to safely and completely install mobile communications and associated electronic equipment, including removal and reinstallation.  Minor coverage of EVs will be added to the course.  

Three-day class: Oct 15-17 

Course fee includes instructor, meals and snacks during the class, and ETA Test Fee.  $2,150
