Join us to hear from a lineup of education tech startups.

Please note that networking begins at 5pm, and the pitches themselves kick off at 5.30pm (for those streaming in virtually). If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend our physical event and tune in virtually.

For those of you who have never attended a Friday Pitch Night, here's a bit of context! Every Friday night from 5pm, Fishburners opens its doors to host Shark Tank-style, Friday Night Pitches. We are a non for profit community of entrepreneurs that is dedicated to growing tech startups - and this is Australia's largest, most regular event in the ecosystem.

Our $10 entry price is directed back into the Fishburners community and covers your pizza, beer, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages for the evening. The ticket booking fee will also be put toward Room to Read, which is a leading non-profit focused on girls' education and children's literacy in Asia and Africa.

If you're looking for inspiration to start a business, are keen to learn some pitch tips, or just want to find out what startups are new in Sydney, this is for you. It's a great event for current entrepreneurs or anyone interested in entrepreneurship but not sure where to start.

The event schedule for Friday Night Pitches is as follows:

• 5PM: Networking & drinks
• 5:30PM: Pitches begin. Grab a seat!
• 6:30PM-8PM (approx.): Networking
• 8PM: Event concludes

About Fishburners

Fishburners is much more than a coworking space. We are a not for profit, passionate community of 300+ scalable tech startups that only exists thanks to our amazing sponsors - Google for Startups, UTS, Chartered Accountants, and Jobs for NSW. We are dedicated to inspiring and helping startups get started, grow, and succeed. Our goal is to make the hardest thing you’ve ever done easier!

We do this through our different memberships which provide the facilities, resources, learning and development, mentoring, and connections that you need for your idea to come to life and flourish. We also open our doors and host some of the largest, regular events in the Australian startup ecosystem, including our weekly lunchtime learning workshops, and Shark Tank-style, Friday night pitches. Member or not, you're welcome to attend and/or get involved! Any questions about memberships or events, please feel free to email events@fishburners.org.

----------------

Please note that Fishburners values inclusive communities and all events hosted here are governed by our community code of conduct. This stems from our desire to run a productive and valuable night for our founders and all attendees where everyone feels safe and welcome to attend, bring friends, meet new people, and enjoy the startup landscape.

To make sure we have the best environment in support of this, in cases where someone is detracting from this goal they may be asked to leave for excessive drinking, antisocial behaviour, speaking during the pitches or disengagement with the purpose of the night. If any issues arise that make you feel uncomfortable please don’t hesitate to come and speak to one of the team.

We hope that by this everyone will enjoy an even more energetic and exciting event, continuing to grow in numbers as we focus all our considerable resources on supporting the skills and passions of us all in the startup industry.
