Educators for Environmental Stewardship: A Gippsland Teacher Networking Event
Event description
Join us for our second Gippsland teacher network meeting to share ideas and experiences on implementing sustainability initiatives and education with other local teachers.
We will undertake an inspiring tour of Our Lady Star of Sea Primary School Cowes to hear how they have turned a bare paddock into a biodiversity haven, inclusive of a wetland, boardwalk and bird hide. Visit the outdoor learning spaces such as the outdoor kitchen, vegetable gardens and orchard to learn how these have progressed over time. Discuss other initiatives in energy, waste and more!
The tour will be followed by a presentation from Newhaven College called Expanding Biodiversity. Networking opportunities will allow for further discussion with Newhaven College representatives about other sustainability goals for the school.
Continue to check back for further program updates.
Please note this event is designed specifically for Victorian schools.
