THIS TRAINING WILL TAKE PLACE AT AUTISM SA, 262 MARION ROAD, NETLEY

Effective strategies to support a person with autism

Professional Development General Workshop

This is a General Workshop for professionals who work with people on the autism spectrum and want to learn about a broad range of strategies. It is recommended that participants first attend ‘Understanding autism’ to get the most out of this session, unless they have a prior sound knowledge of autism.

This workshop helps participants to learn how to use a range of social, communication, behavioural and sensory strategies to support individuals on the spectrum across the ages and in a range of settings. Strategies are practical, relevant and evidence based.

Suitable for professionals supporting individuals of all ages.

All participants will receive a certificate with the workshop title, the number of hours and will state that the training links to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (where appropriate).

Professional Workshops are designed for any individuals who support an individual on the autism spectrum on a professional or volunteer basis. The workshops provide examples and strategies that are relevant for professionals.

If this workshop is full, please contact Emma Bennett on ebennett@autismsa.org.au.
