What is the eHealth Solutions Challenge?

The eHealth Solutions Challenge (eHSC), developed by the Colorado Smart Cities Alliance (CSCA) in collaboration with the Colorado Office of eHealth Innovation (OeHI), provides a vendor and proposal vetting process that helps governmental organizations source new technology solutions and provides seed funding to demonstrate them.

The Challenge connects participating Governmental Agencies or Intergovernmental Agency entities with valuable new technology tools and provides up to $150,000 in seed funding (maximum of $50,000 per project, up to 6 projects) needed to test out the most promising solutions.

The Challenge statements were developed in collaboration with The Colorado Office of eHealth Innovation, and are intended to source innovative solutions that are in alignment with OeHI’s Health IT Roadmap Goals.

Purpose

The purpose of this initiative is to advance solutions that connect health and health-related data across systems and sectors, while protecting privacy, security, and data sovereignty, in order to break down data silos and support more coordinated services and improved health outcomes for Coloradans.

Challenge Statement

How do we increase interoperability and analysis of health and health-related data across multiple agencies, organizations and jurisdictions? How do we unite disparate data silos while maintaining data security, privacy and sovereignty?
