Educator Intelligence Live workshops in Adelaide - September 2026

It's time to stop talking and start building with AI. Join us at this Educator Intelligence Live! event that focuses on giving you the time, space and support to build with AI.

Join Matthew Esterman and a range of local expert facilitators who will walk beside you as you build your skills and capability to actually use AI responsibly in an educational context.

We will have a dynamic opening keynote, followed by three hands-on workshops based on our Educator Intelligence learning platform:

1. AI First Aid focused on exploring and harnessing the key features of leading AI tools - from basics around security settings, through using and creating multimedia, to building agents and bots.

2. Assessment Architecture evolving assessment to be AI-resistant, and redesigning assessment with AI - bring an assessment task or policy for us to stress-test together, and get hands on with AI to redesign them.

3. The Differentiation Engine how to harness AI to better address the needs of all learners - we'll explore the tools that are out there but focus on using the right AI tools you already have at your fingertips to achieve your differentiation goals.

We will finish with a showcase of what has been built on the day, so you leave with plenty of strategies, ideas and skills to take back to your school the next day.

ALL schools and educators are welcome, we are platform agnostic, so you can use whatever approved tools to which you have access. You will also be able to explore other platforms and apps on your phone in a responsible way.

The Educator Intelligence learning programs do not require you to use any particular platforms to engage with learning about prompting and key aspects of generative AI. We offer you a safe sandbox to learn and test your ideas, not connected to any AI directly.

Australian Professional Standards for Teachers

Standard 1.5 Differentiate teaching to meet the specific learning needs of students across the full range of abilities The Differentiation Engine workshop directly targets this: using AI to better identify and respond to diverse learner needs. At Proficient level, the standard requires implementing strategies that support differentiated learning: this session gives educators practical tools to do exactly that.

Standard 3.3 Use teaching strategies AI First Aid develops fluency with leading AI tools and their classroom applications. At Proficient level, educators are expected to select and apply a range of strategies informed by subject content and student needs: AI-augmented strategies sit squarely here.

Standard 5.1: Assess student learning Assessment Architecture focuses on redesigning assessment structures in the context of AI: both making them more robust and using AI to enhance them. At Proficient level, this standard requires teachers to develop and apply a range of assessment strategies, which is the explicit focus of this workshop.

Standard 6.2: Engage in professional learning and improve practice The event as a whole: a structured, evidence-informed full day of professional learning with an explicit take-back focus directly meets this standard. At Proficient level, teachers are expected to participate in learning that improves their own practice.
