Eke Panuku 2026
Description
Nau mai haere mai!
UC Māori would like to welcome you to Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha - The University of Canterbury, for our orientation event - Eke Panuku.
Come and meet the UC Māori team and learn more about how we can help you settle into university life and support you as you jump into the waka of tertiary study.
We will kick off the day with a mihi whakatau to warmly welcome Māori ākonga to campus. From there, ākonga will be grouped by faculty and have the chance to meet their Kaiurungi (Māori Student Advisor) and connect with Māori staff who are here to support them throughout their journey at UC.
The day will then flow into our mākete, filled with kai, games, prizes, and information stalls, along with plenty of opportunities to meet other Māori students and build connections.
All whānau are welcome to this event! When ordering tickets, make sure to get a ticket for each whānau member that you want to bring along!
We look forward to meeting each and every one of you!
