    Friday 11th to Monday 14th August 2023

    About the Ekka

    The Royal Queensland Show (Ekka) is Queensland's largest and most loved annual event, attracting on average 400,000 people..

    Run by the RNA and staged at its original birthplace, the Brisbane Showgrounds, the Ekka brings the country and city together for a true celebration of agriculture.

    The Ekka showcases the best of Queensland, attracting more than 21,000 competition entries from woodchop to giant vegetables, 10,000 animals from beef cattle to cats and dogs, world-class live entertainment, award-winning food and wine, carnival rides and showbags, family shopping, educational activities and much more.

    The iconic show has been running since 1876 and is full of traditions, a unique atmosphere and childhood memories that have been passed down through generations of families.

    Day One:

    Pick-ups commence by 06:00 we then head North. Stopping at Coffs Harbour for morning tea and time for our Northern travellers to board. Continuing we stop at Frida’s Field, Nashua for a long lunch. A communal feast shared amongst our group with a set menu comprising three starters, a main with three sides, and dessert. A comfort stop on our way to Comfort Inn North Brisbane for the next three nights. Tonight, dinner is on site at the Inn’s restaurant.

    Includes: Door to door pickup (some areas), morning tea, Long Lunch, afternoon tea, dinner & accommodation.

    Day Two:

    After breakfast we head up through the Glasshouse Mountains to Australia Zoo. We have approximately five hours to explore this amazing park. Departing around 14:00 so we can get back and freshen up before EkkaNITE. The main arena comes alive each night of the show with the spectacular never seen before show EkkaNITES. This year’s theme is “It’s Time To Celebrate”. Fireworks around 20:00.

    Day Three:

    A sleep-in this morning after our late night. Breakfast and then it is back to EKKA for the day. We will have about five hours to explore. This afternoon we head back to the Inn to freshen up before heading into the city on our River City Cruise. Enjoy a 3-hour cruise with a buffet. Taking in the amazing city at night!

    Includes: Breakfast, entry to EKKA, 3-hours cruise with a buffet dinner and accommodation.

    Day Four:

    After breakfast we will check out around 09:00. Today’s first stop is Tropical Fruit World. Enjoy a Safari and fruit tastings. Grab our takeaway picnic and off to Ferry Park, Gulmarrad. Comfort stop @ the Ballina Service Centre before we say goodbye to our Coffs Coast friends. Port drop offs will commence around 19:00.
