Eldership and The Ancestral Patterns

Event description

This month we are exploring more deeply some of the patterns that lie in the Ancestral Family System. We're looking more specifically at The Father Wound, the Mother Wound and our need to Belong. Although we will be focusing on families, it's also important to understand that these patterns are in all of our systems, such as organisations, political institutions, our education systems and communities etc.  This is why it's so useful and important to look at them more deeply.

The Father in the family system represents the 'outside' and external world. They provide the energy and the strength that's needed to achieve our goals and the objectives that we set for ourselves in life. This is the source that we need in order to set our boundaries and our limits. It's the masculine energy that is required to harmonise with the feminine energy that we take from our mothers so we can be balanced and in flow.

The Mother in the family system brings the safe container that's needed to hold and protect the child. Bert Hellinger describes the role of the mother: "With her milk we take life outside of her. What makes us successful here and prepares us for later success in our lives and in our profession? To take her as the source of our life, with everything that flows from her to us. With her we take our life".

Belonging starts in the womb. Our first belonging starts with the mother and forms the basis for which we relate and connect to the world. There's a lot of discussion about the need to belong but do we really understand it in practice?

In this one hour workshop you will:

  • Understand more about these core patterns
  • Have reflected on your own relationship with these patterns
  • Discuss the patterns and what you can do to work with them more deeply

The structure of the workshop includes:

  1. The creation of the group container including music and a reading
  2. A presentation / teaching about the patterns
  3. A facilitated group discussion
  4. Actions to take away
  5. A shameless plug for the upcoming programmes

The group is limited to twenty five people to maximise engagement.

I look forward to seeing you there 💜🙏🏼
