Event description

WELCOME TO ELECTRA BUSINESS AFTER 5

We are very pleased to be able to bring Nicola Nation, CEO of Ākina, to outline what social enterprise is and the opportunities in Horowhenua to establish social enterprises. The Ākina Foundation is a social enterprise which aims to transform the economy by working alongside government, businesses, iwi and community-led organisations to put positive social and environmental impact at the heart of our economy. Ākina is Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading impact development consultancy. They are economic change-makers, advocates for innovation, and champions of social enterprise. They firmly believe that doing business differently can create change that will make Aotearoa a better place.

Each month The Horowhenua Company Ltd brings business and thought leaders to speak on various topics of interest.
The April event is being held on Thursday 18th April at Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō, Levin, at 5.30pm and is sponsored by Electra.
