Our October ELECTRIC HORA takes us back to where it all started - The Boston Synagogue.

This month, we are incredibly lucky to be joined by one of the great luminaries of the Klezmer Revival: Judy Bressler! Judy will lead dancing alongside the crackerjack band. You don't want to miss this one.

Judy Bressler is a founding member of the Klezmer Conservatory Band and is the featured vocalist on all 10 of their CDs. A third generation Yiddish performer, she can be seen in the PBS documentary A Jumpin’ Night In The Garden Of Eden and was featured with Joel Grey in Borscht Capades ’94. Being part of In the Fiddler’s House since 1996, she has performed at Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, and Boston’s Symphony Hall.

Have you ever danced the hora at a Jewish wedding and thought, "Damn! I should do that every month!" Been lifted in a chair above a circling sea of friends and family? Clapped your hands for a patsch tanz or stomped your feet to a bulgar? Have you ever wanted to?

Now is your chance. It's time for ELECTRIC HORA, Boston's best klezmer dance series, featuring a rotating cast of the top dance leaders and klezmer musicians from across New England.

October's ELECTRIC HORA is hosted by our friends at the Boston Synagogue and features the following fabulous artists:

Judy Bressler - dance leader

Nat Seelen - clarinet

Michael McLaughlin - accordion

Kirsten Lamb - bass

Grant Smith - drums
