Event description
Join Kiwis in Climate (KiC) for a lively, collective discussion exploring the role of electrification and clean energy in Aotearoa’s climate future. While no single solution can address the complexity of the climate crisis, the transition to cleaner energy is a vital step. Joining us for the kōrero:
Jay Salzke, Ecosystem Lead of Rewiring Aotearoa
Kristin Gillies, Director at ForPurpose & Board Member at SEANZ
Simon Harvey, Specialist Sustainability Services Advisor (Tonkin + Taylor), Investor and Shareholder (Team for the planet)
Grab a hot chocolate or mulled wine and join what’s sure to be a toasty discussion. Together with experts in energy systems, community resilience, and public communication, we’ll unpack the opportunities and limitations of electrification — from household decisions to systemic change. We’ll tackle common myths, share real-world examples, and consider how this transition can uplift both people and the planet.
Connect with other climate-conscious Kiwis, ask your questions, and leave with practical insights for action.
This event is free for all paid KiC members and their +1, with a koha on the door for additional guests and allies.
