Electro-Opera Experimental Theatre

An evening of experimental voice, electronics, puppetry, clowning, theatre, and ritual. Ethereal, visceral, and ecstatic. 

ELI BERMAN: “Litanies of Lilith” is an electro puppet opera written and composed by Eli Berman with Yiddish translations by Moishe Dolman. Performed by siblings Eli Berman (voice and electronics) and Sam Berman (drums), almost all sounds are generated live on stage via voice, percussion, and wearable electronics. The show depicts Lilith's transformation from the first wife of Adam into the primordial mother of demons. Eli Berman is a Brooklyn-based vocalist, composer, producer, and sound artist originally from Pittsburgh, PA. IG: @_eliberman_

MAZEL: Mazel is presenting a preview from RAPTURES FROM THE GODHOLE, a quantum-clown-electro-opera of the micro and macro cosmos. Selected for Cannonball’s 2026 Immersive Award, the show debuts September 18-20 in the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Mazel is an experimental performer, working across the bounds of clown, opera, theatre, ritual, theology, text, media, and music. IG: @mazel.mongrel

ANGEL MEAT: Harsh Thanatology? Post Opera? Or maybe just a Maria Callas tape eating itself alive while drinking cough syrup. Regardless, Angel Meat is a duo from Philadelphia consisting of vocalist Anna Young (Layer Meat/Hermit High Priestess) and harpist Myles Donovan (Disemballerina/Narco Medusa/A stick and a stone) accompanied by a chaotic pet poltergeist of electro acoustic feedback. Part improv, part song. Part structure, part disintegration. Movements of decay, movements of recovery. Spiritual exorcism, shaking the bars of its fleshy prison.  Authentic Queers and Phony virgins.
