Elemental Resonance - Hobart | Paul Nicolaou, harp

Following its acclaimed premiere at the 2025 Orange Chamber Music Festival, Elemental Resonance returns in 2026 for an Australian national tour. 

Created, presented and performed by multi-award-winning Sydney-based harpist and composer Paul Nicolaou, Elemental Resonance is a relaxed, immersive, multi-sensory solo harp experience. Journey through earth, air, fire and water as the colourful, rich tones of the harp combine with carefully curated sensory elements to create a deeply engaging performance.

Featuring music by composers including Nigel Westlake, Natalia Mann and Christopher Larkin, the all-Australian program also includes original compositions by the performer alongside sensory-driven improvisations inspired by the elemental themes. Audiences are invited to experience the performance through sight, sound, touch and smell, making for a richly immersive musical experience.

Elemental Resonance returns in an expanded format for its national tour, with seven performances across five cities and regional centres. Designed for audiences of all ages, this sensory-rich musical experience has been thoughtfully curated with accessibility at its core, creating a welcoming environment where audiences are encouraged to experience the performance in whatever way feels most comfortable.
