    Event description

    ABOUT THE EVENT:

BIG, bold change. We all envision it, hope for it, work towards it. And yet – with a staggering 70% failure rate -- it often remains out of our grasp.

This discussion is for you if you’re a change-maker, if you feel responsible for the world’s problems we did not cause, see possibilities others miss, and feel compelled to intervene.

If you were a chemist, a geneticist, an architect, or a beautician, you would master your trade’s best practice. Hey, you might even innovate! By unfortunate contrast, our impact has remained haphazard; the unlikely upside of nearly assured self-destruction. The roadmap feels allusive, and the results – incidental at best. Is it any wonder we’re burning out?

This ends now! What could we achieve if we could plan for the impact we target?

It is time to distill the best of science and experience into roadmaps for impact. Exactly what Change-maker’s Handbook offers anybody looking to make a meaningful difference in their lives, communities, or society at large.

On Thursday 5th September at The Royal Oak, Balmain, join Elena Bondareva in conversation with Davina Rooney.

Copies of Change-maker's Handbook will be available for purchase at the venue through Roaring Stories, with Bondareva signing copies after the discussion.

    ABOUT THE BOOK

Change-maker’s Handbook is for you if you feel accountable for the world's problems you did not cause, recognize possibilities others miss, and feel compelled to intervene. It is also for you if you have wondered whether your inability to stay in your lane means there’s got to be something wrong with you. And it is for you if you have wondered why you seem, time and again, to choose the path less traveled – and perhaps concluded that you like discovering something nobody else has. You may have felt yourself a misfit, been pegged as a troublemaker, or been honored as a mover-and-shaker. As long as you feel personally responsible for making the world a better place, you are a change-maker even if you don’t think your impact warrants the title (and many of you don’t). That makes you the world’s most precious resource, and it makes Change-maker’s Handbook your comprehensive guide for creating impact.

Change-maker’s Handbook is a tell-all from a prolific change-maker who has been honing her craft though research and practice across two decades and six continents. Through Change-maker’s Handbook, Elena Bondareva presents a never-before revealed roadmap to impact; a roadmap that – co-narrated by many who have traversed it – demarcates all major junctures and obstacles, so that you succeed in remaking the world for the better.

As candid and actionable as it is ground-breaking in its insight, Change-maker’s Handbook is a must-have for emerging and experienced change-makers alike.
