About this Event

In this live-streamed showcase event, brought to you by Impact Boom, with proud support from Brisbane City Council and the Yunus Centre, Griffith University, we’ll be treated to a pitch and Q&A from each startup who took part in the program. They will demonstrate how far they’ve come, how they're creating impact and what they’ll be working towards next.

In 2018 we packed out Brisbane Powerhouse and in 2019 we filled The Triffid with 400 people from Australia's social enterprise community. 2020 brings a unique opportunity for the global community to gather for an experience you’re not going to forget.

This year, we invite you to join us online for the pitches, Q&A and voting, then stay for the afterparty where you’ll get to meet the founders and national leaders in the space, as well as being treated to some surprises and special guests. There has never been a better time to join the 'business for good' movement.

Cost: This is a 'pay-what-you-like' event, with a recommended ticket price of $10. 50% of ticket sales will be awarded to the recipient of the 'People's Choice Award' which you will vote on during the event, helping fund a great initiative that's creating strong impact.

Fruit Butcher sources regeneratively grown meat alternatives for sale in hospitality and direct to consumer. Our Australian grown products are sustainably grown, with a focus on not just being carbon neutral but carbon positive.

Green Fox Studio

Green Fox Studio is an award-winning graphic and digital design studio that also provides training and employment to prisoners both during and after incarceration. In doing so, we reduce the growing rate of homelessness and recidivism, keeping our communities safer and putting our team on a path to employment success.

Law On Earth

Law On Earth is a public self-service legal platform addressing the access to justice issue, cutting the cost of legal by up to 90%. The platform provides a free Learning Centre with up to date legal information, geotagged so that Users have one source of truth relevant to their location.

Mind For Me

Mind For Me empowers people with establishing support networks through friends, family and neighbours. Easily exchange help for childminding, pet sitting or home and garden, drawing on dormant community resources.

ReThink Store

ReThink Store are creating change. They are working to make our community and our world more inclusive and more sustainable. They do this by providing employment for people living with disability and household products and information that help you reduce your waste. Their aim is to create a model that can be replicated everywhere.

Sprout

Sprout is a platform helping more people grow more food for each other. We believe that everyone should have access to fresh, delicious local food, grown within our neighbourhoods. Sprout interconnects all of our local growers, urban farmers and community gardens and provides a platform for them to share tasks and information to their communities, trade produce and manage their farms.

SwapU

SwapU connects people who want to swap goods with other swappers. These swappers negotiate an agreed value of their items and trade item for item or items plus cash.

Human Connection Project

The Human Connection Project is a not-for-profit social enterprise working within the community empowering connection to develop psychological resilience and emotional wellbeing.
