Description
The Level Crossing Removal Project will transform the Upfield corridor: a 2.1km elevated rail line, eight level crossings removed, and three stations replaced by two. It's the biggest change Brunswick will see in a generation — and the decisions being made now will shape our suburb for the next hundred years.
Elevating Brunswick — the community group representing 1,000+ residents in apartments along the corridor — invites you to a town hall covering:

A better way — the case for moving the new northern station south of Hope Street: better housing, genuine open space, and a station precinct that works, instead of a platform metres from bedroom windows

- Is the event free?
Yes. Registration is free — we just ask you to RSVP so we know numbers for the venue.
- Who is the event for?
Everyone. You don't need to live in an apartment on the corridor, be a member of Elevating Brunswick, or know anything about the project. If you live in or care about Brunswick, this night is for you.
- Is Elevating Brunswick against the sky rail?
No. We support removing the level crossings. Our focus is making sure the design — especially the location of the new northern station — delivers the best outcome for the people who live here. We think there's a better option, and we'll present it on the night.
- Will politicians be there?
We've invited representatives and candidates from all major parties, plus the Merri-bek Mayor, councillors and council officers. Every party's speaker is offered the same three-minute spot — this is a community event, not a party-political one.
- Can I ask a question?
Yes — two ways. Lodge a question when you register and we'll put the most-asked ones to the room, or raise your hand during the open floor session.
- How long does it go for?
6:30pm to 8:30pm, with time to chat, sign up and get involved afterwards.
- Is there food and drink?
Tempo Rubato's bar will be open, we have a food truck invited and will share menu shortly!
- I can't make it — how do I stay involved?
