Archive presents GET FOLKED UP...

Join us on Friday March 27th in Bellingen for the first edition of a new series of music events.

It's folk music - but not as you know it

JUST ADDED! San Miguel Fraser from Spain!

San Miguel Fraser is redefining folk music with their dynamic fusion of Castilian and Celtic traditions. The duo, featuring María San Miguel—an Oviedo Conservatory graduate deeply rooted in the vibrant music of Castile—and Galen Fraser—a Berklee College of Music alumnus and son of the legendary fiddler Alasdair Fraser, blends heartfelt vocals, intricate string arrangements, and the lively charm of the cittern. Their music celebrates the shared spirit of their homelands while embracing the beauty of innovation.

Shark & Fox uplift the evening with fearless musicianship and magnetic interplay. Led by the expressive pairing of Jaron Freeman-Fox (CAN) and Emily-Rose Sharkova (AUS), the project draws on deep folk currents while embracing improvisation, intricate rhythmic interplay, and heart-melting harmonies.

U.S. multi-instrumentalist Elias Alexander closes the night with an electrifying solo set, layering electronic dance beats with bagpipes, fiddle, whistles, guitar, and vocals to create pulse-driven performances that lift audiences to their feet. After touring prolifically across the U.S., Europe, and South America, Elias is rapidly making waves on the Australian festival circuit.

Bring your dancing shoes, curious ears, and an open heart.
