April 2024 Event Speakers:
Hedley Widdup is a seasoned geologist and investment manager with extensive experience in both the mining industry and financial markets. Originally from Melbourne, Hedley’s early career saw him working in some of Australia’s most significant mines, developing a deep understanding of the sector. Transitioning to finance, he joined Lion Selection Group in 2007, where he has since been instrumental in shaping investment strategies and managing investor relations.
Hedley is currently an investment manager at Lion, a Steering Committee Member of the Melbourne Mining Club, a Non-Executive Director of Erdene Resource Development Corp, and the Chairman of Plutonic Limited. His unique blend of geological expertise and investment acumen makes him a respected figure in both fields.
Sonya Sinclair is an experienced professional with over 15 years’ experience in auditing, risk, environmental and financial reporting, and brings a collaborative style and balance technical aspects with practical recommendations to clients.
With an in depth knowledge and exposure to a wide range of financial reporting and auditing issues, Sonya provides training, facilitate discussions, advice and interpretation on governance, financial reporting and auditing principles.
Currently, she is servicing a range of clients including mid-tier chartered accountancy firms, Office of the Auditor-General, large companies (including ASX-listed entities) and other government agencies.
