ASE Ellie Awards 2026
The ASE Ellie Awards are turning 20!!!
Join us as we celebrate two decades of recognising excellence within Australia’s post production community.
The Ellies is our biggest night of the year where we celebrate incredible work over 18 categories, present our newest accreditees and honour an outstanding individual with lifetime membership. It is also a chance for you to catch up with colleagues and friends, and make new connections with the best in the industry.
You don’t need to be nominated to come! The Ellies is a night for the whole post production community. Whether you’re an Editor, Assistant Editor, Post Producer, VFX Editor, Colourist, or a student you are invited.
For those who can’t make the Awards in person, the ceremony will be Livestreamed (thanks to JMC Academy) so you can catch all the action at home.

Celebrating 20 Years
The first Ellie Awards started in 2006 with four awards (Feature Drama, Documentary, Television Drama and Short Film) and has since grown to encompass over 18 awards across many disciplines.
Our awards are judged by the best editors in the country, who bring their experience and trained sensibilities to every submitted entry.
“Many editing awards are given by people who may not always even know what an Editor does, much less what makes an outstanding edit. A lot of ‘a fast cut is a good cut’. Ours would be the only awards for Editors by Editors, the toughest room…”
Andrea Lang ASE
