MEET THE CREATORS:
Elliot Goblet… Up Close & Personal

Hosted by Simon Rogers

Guess what? Elliot Goblet and his alter ego, Jack Levi, are coming to The Coolroom for a night to celebrate both the comedian and his career! After Elliot Goblet’s set, we’ll be diving behind the scenes to meet Jack Levi, the real man behind the legend. We’ll hear about his funniest and most challenging gigs, and then the audience can get a chance to ask Jack some questions. As Jack Levi himself puts it, ‘One of the most original comedians in the history of the known Universe’.

Australia's music and comedy superstars have dazzled and enthralled huge audiences around the world, but now some are headed to a unique venue in Castlemaine to play a new sort of live show….

Only about 50 people at a time will get into this remarkable performance space, to see and question their music and comedy heroes.

The shows will run for about 90 minutes and be MC'd by Australia’s most experienced comedy compere Simon Rogers. After a short set from the Guest, he will interview each star about their careers, their Best Gigs and their Worst Gigs and then the audience get their chance to quiz their favourite performers.

The shows are deliberately in the moment and won't be podcast or recorded, including by the audience!

"It's a one-off experience. It's the cream of Australia's performing arts chatting to me and you and a few friends and if you ain’t there you miss out!” says Simon

“It's not a TED talk you can watch again and again on YouTube, the bloopers won’t be turned into memes - It's more like Midnight in Paris where you've accidentally stumbled into a dinner party of comedy and music icons and they invite you to sit around the table and have a chat".

After a set by Elliot Goblet, we delve behind the scenes discovering Jack Levi, the man behind the legend.  Hear about his worst and best gigs and then the audience get their chance to quiz Jack.
