PARKES ELVIS FESTIVAL

Theme: Jailhouse Rock

Thursday 11th to Monday 15th January 2024

Recognised as one of the top three Festivals and Events in Australia, the Festival attracts 25,000 fans with a global reach of 479 million.

Held every year in the second week in January, coinciding with Elvis Presley's birthday, the 2024 Festival will be held 10-14 January and will celebrate its 31st year.

The theme for the 2024 Festival is Elvis’ 1957 musical drama, Jailhouse Rock.

Day One:

Pick-ups commence by 04:30. Breakfast stop @ Heatherbrae. Comfort stop at Denman, Lunch @ Rylstone Pub. Last comfort stop @ Bathurst. Checking in around 17:00 to the Cowra Motor Inn, our home away from home for the next four nights. Dinner tonight is off site at the Lachlan Valley Hotel.

Day Two:

After breakfast at the Cowra Bowling Club we head over to Parkes for some free time at the Festival. Around lunch time we head over to the CSIRO Parkes Radio Telescope Visitor's Centre for a visit and lunch. Back to the Festival for a few hours before heading back to Cowra. Dinner tonight is at The Ironbark Smoked Barbecue in the Mill,

Day Three:

After breakfast we head back over to Parkes for the street parade then a day of free time at the Elvis Parkes Festival. Back to Cowra around 16:00. Tonight, we have our dinner and show at the Cowra Bowling Club

Day Four:

After breakfast at the Cowra Bowling Club, we head do some site seeing on our way to Parkes for some the Gospel Service at the Elvis Parkes Festival then it’s your last chance to enjoy some free time at the festival. Back to Cowra around 16:00. Tonight, we have our dinner and at Montrose House.

Day Five:

Breakfast and then time to check out around 07:30 as we head for home. Roadside coffee stop at Helensvale. Lunch is at the Rod n Reel Hotel. Our final coffee n comfort stop is at Boambee before drop offs commence from the Donut around 17:30.
