Emanarse Lab: Theatre and Rite Among Women | CROSSING RIVERS

The 'Emanarse Lab: Theatre and Rite Among Women' is an invitation to connect to your genuine creativity and create together. In an immersive process, we will dance to access hidden treasures in our bodies, sing to listen to the silent chords, expand our sight to see the poetry in our routines, improvise to unravel our hidden personas. We will create and have fun together.

There are no rules. There is trust, confidence, empathy and potency. There is poetry and movement. Dance, music and writing. There is alchemy. There is ritual. There is magic.The course is a combination between a wide range of Theatre, Improvisation and Movement Research games and techniques, Performance Art and Dance-Theatre experiments, and the experience of each woman involved in the process.

The 'Crossing Rivers' edition will focus on our fluidity, flexibility and malleability as material to access memories, personal stories, traumas, ancestrally, creating an artistic material from who we are.All levels are welcome as each Woman will develop her own process within the collective experience. {Limited spots}

{ DATES AND TIMES }
~ WORKSHOPS ~
12th, 19th and 26th May, and 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd June > Fridays, 5pm to 8pm:
- Theatre and Improvisation games and activities
- Movement research labs
- Voice and sounds lab
- Understanding the concept of Performance Art, Dance-Theatre, Physical Theatre and Site-Specific
- Development of the ‘Rites’: work in progress piece created by each participant with one on one assistance.

~ IMMERSION ~
3rd and 4th June > Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 7pm:
- Immersive investigation and exploration of the ‘work on ourselves’
- Movement and actions research
- Creative drifts
|| Dinner and snacks provided on both days.||

~ INDIVIDUAL PROCESS ~
- Individual creative process development, assisted by the facilitator

[FACILITATOR]
Silvia Andrade is a Theatre and Improvisation teacher and director with almost 20 years experience teaching and a vast research in Performance Arts and Movement Research. Post Graduated in Performance Arts and Graduated in Theatre at the National University of Minas Gerais, Brazil, she has studied Theatre, Dance, Dance-Theatre, Performance Art and the universe of the Clown with teachers and masters from several countries, developing a wide experience with the most varied types of Performing Arts techniques and methodologies. Passionate about the potency of Theatre as a social equality and diversity mechanism, she created Emanarse to develop, collectively, creative process to unravel and universalise individual processes through the body and movement.
