Delivered by ACCPA, Embedding a Peer Support Culture is designed to teach Aged Care organisations and workers how and why to implement a Peer Support program into their workplace. Peer Support programs are a crucial investment into your workforce, enabling employees to feel valued and to engender collective responsibility to support each other.

Learning outcomes from this 3.5 hour workshop include:

Understand the roles, responbilities and boundaries of being a workplace peer
Recognise how individual learning style preferences can be utilised to advance knowledge and develop confidence in task applications
Understand how effective communication can build relationships of trust and respect
Increase your ability to manage difficult situations with confidence, clarity and calmness
Develop strategies to deal with the expression of difficult emotions in others
