Embers & Ales: The Long Night Feast
Description
As the nights stretch out and the cold settles into the coast, we gather around the fire at Sailors Grave for a Yule-inspired long-table feast with gardener, cook and TV presenter Paul West.
Embers & Ales is a midwinter celebration of good food, dark beer, warm company and the simple joy of sharing a table together.
Across four courses, Paul will be cooking with East Gippsland and South Coast produce, matched with Sailors Grave craft beers. Guests will receive up to four drinks across the evening, with suggested pairings for each course — choose from Sailors Grave beers, Lightfoot wines, mulled wine and non-alcoholic drinks.
The menu for the night:
South Coast oysters, freshly shucked
Hot seaweed brown butter, sourdough crumb & chiveSilverbeet & three-cheese flatbread
Gözleme-style with burnt butter, herbs & garlic yoghurtDark ale-braised beef
Winter roots, celeriac-potato mash, bay & horseradish gremolataWinter apple crumble
