Welcome to EMBODIED BURLESQUE !!!! 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽

Step into your sensuality with the art of strip tease, in a safe and supportive all-levels dance class.

In this 2hr workshop, we will explore our relationship to sensuality, connect with each other in a sharing circle, and clear the blocks that hold us back from stepping into our fullest, most confident expression!

We will also explore some embodiment exercises that encourage us to fully feel, experience and live inside the body. A powerful practice for a society and culture that has been dominated by the mind, and a very supportive practice for dancers of all skill levels.

Through the art form of Neo-burlesque, we will explore of elements of what makes a juicy striptease, and together we’ll learn a choreographed sensual dance routine!

All levels of dance experience, from complete beginner to seasoned pro, will enjoy this workshop! We provide a safe environment to fully express your sensual side & even if you are a little nervous, I guarantee you will leave the workshop feeling as though you are glowing!!

.:. Saturday 30th September 12pm-2pm at Sydney Vintage Dance Studio

Costume ~~

.:. Wear something that makes you feel sexy and makes you want to dance! Lingerie is very welcome in class, or work out gear if you are more comfortable.

.:. Bare feet is welcome, or you may bring a comfortable pair of heels with ankle support to wear while you dance.

.:. I also invite you to bring a robe or button up shirt to strip off!

Ethos ~~

.:. This is a no judgement space where you are invited to step into class as you are. Anything you are going through, working on or feeling is welcome in class as this is a safe place to move through it all within our bodies.

.:. There may be some sharing circles where we are invited to come in with vulnerability and authenticity, however this is a no-pressure space and it is always important to honour how you are feeling on that day if you don't wish to share.

.:. The routine is open to all levels of dance as we encourage your own unique expression! This is not about trying to dance like any one else, this is about finding and loving your own groove and flow.

.:. INCLUSIVITY! this class is open to all genders and ability levels as we all deserve to feel safe, sexy & fully expressed in our being!
