Kia ora dance whānau,

For years I have been sharing my experiences of Embodied Intimacy with this community here in Dunedin. Now I am thrilled to say we finally have the opportunity to explore it together, here in Ōtepoti, with Sybille Biedert and the Embodied Freedom team.

Embodied Intimacy: A Weekend Movement Journey in Dunedin

A weekend of embodied authentic relating with Embodied Freedom from Golden Bay. Embodied Freedom is a unique fusion of Possibility Management and Open Floor movement practice.

We each develop our own way of relating over time, shaped by what we learned from our culture, family and teachers. Through movement, partner and group practices, we'll explore these patterns this weekend and discover the power to choose, to transform, and to shape our own experience of connection and relating.

Together we'll dance into the unknown parts of ourselves, arrive in the moment in all our bodies (emotional, physical, mental and energetic), and practise the skill of negotiating intimacy to create deeper connection and meet our vulnerability.

What we'll explore

- Cultivating presence, curiosity and aliveness through expanding expression

- A new relationship with your feelings, as a compass for your life

- Listening to your inner voice and becoming more brave and visible

- Communicating with clarity and what matters to you

- Fantastic practices and tools for more intimacy in your relationships

I am so excited for the practices we'll share, the dances we'll move, and the research we'll bring into life as a community to then keep connecting and continue the practices.
