Embodied Men Berlin: Yoga & connection games for GBTQ men

Are you sick of hook-up culture, and seeking deeper, more meaningful connections with fellow gay/bi/trans/queer men

Welcome to Embodied Men, a space where you will cultivate embodied presence through Hatha yoga, and then enjoy nourishing & playful connection games with genuine, empathetic GBTQ identifying people. For the first time ever, it's coming to Berlin for a special evening this May!

 We will begin the workshop with an hour of grounding Hatha yoga, an ancient practice that harmonises movement & breath. Through stillness and strength, it will awaken the subtle energies within, inviting balance, clarity, and a peaceful homecoming to the Self.

 We will then harness the communication modality of Authentic Relating, enabling you to heartfully, playfully and courageously connect, using the tools of radical honesty and active listening. The practice invites you to drop deeper into presence, embodied awareness and permission to express whatever is alive within you and the ‘we-space’ between you and other(s).

 Come and meet a whole bunch of vibrant, fascinating characters, and practice communication & embodiment skills you can gift to your life beyond the workshop!

 Games will be played in pairs and small groups, which will be configured at random.

 We’ll end the evening with an open lounge space for those who want to keep hanging out!

 This event welcomes all men aged 18+ who identify as gay, bi, queer or trans, as well as people who identify somewhere on a gender-fluid spectrum.

 You are also welcome no matter what your experience level is with yoga. The asanas (poses) will be suitable for all levels, and I will ensure you will get the most out of your practice.

 Everything shared in the workshop is consensual and confidential.

Laurie King

I'm Laurie (he/him), a queer British-Kiwi who’s current home-base is Berlin. My passion is creating spaces that cultivate healthy, thriving human-to-human relationships, helping people take off their masks, feel their sensations and celebrate their aliveness on Earth. Since 2019, I have organised and facilitated hundreds of Authentic Relating, Dating and Embodiment workshops across Oceania and Europe.

My training includes World Peace Yoga School (250 hours), The Embody Lab, Authentic Revolution, and Connection Institute. I have facilitated at internationally acclaimed festivals such as Stretch and Ignite, and organisations such as ART International and Authentic Bay Area.

My workshops have sparked thousands of nourishing connections, turning many strangers into life-long friends. I look forward to holding space for you!

I also offer online Holistic Coaching sessions, inspired by Authentic Relating, Positive Intelligence and Somatic Experiencing techniques.

Practicalities:

When: Friday 30th May, 18.30 - 20.30. Please be on time otherwise you may not be let in.

Where: Holographic Healing Nest, Eisenbahnstraße 11, 10997 Berlin, Germany.

Cost: €20 for low income, €25 for medium income, €30 for high income*. Only 12 tickets available through Humanitix (where the booking fees go to charity). Book early to secure your place!

Intoxicants: This is a drug & alcohol free event. There will however be plenty of tea available!

Language: The event will be facilitated in English, but you may do the exercises in German if your exercise partner feels comfortable expressing in that language.

Refund Policy: If you cannot make an event, you may transfer your ticket to someone else or use as credit for a future i to i workshop.

* Why are tickets sold by income?In order to make the event as accessible as possible, it is up to you to decide which ticket you purchase, depending on your own feelings about your level of disposable income and how much you would like to contribute for the event.
