What makes the difference with those clients who are hardest to reach?

More often than not it's not the tool that you use, but the quality of your presence.

This series helps you develop exactly that, through easy to learn, practical embodiment tools.

As a result you will feel more resourced in your work, so that you are better able to work with challenging clients.

It can also help you to take your work to a deeper level. Each session is one step on that journey

Session 2: The Art of Arrival

How fully do you actually arrive when you show up with a client or for a group? As coaches, therapists, and other space-holders, this really matters. The quality of your presence is the foundation of everything else you offer. Too often we may we arrive physically, long before we have actually full landed. Do you relate?

In this session we begin to address this issue. You will learn a method to help you arrive more fully in your body , drawing on a somatic approach to nervous system regulation. It is easy to learn, accessible and you can use it right away. It is a starting point for the kind of embodied work we explore later in this series.

You will be able to use this practice for yourself, as well as to support your clients to become more present and to work with a calmer nervous system.

Led by Ruth Friedman, this two-hour workshop creates a warm, safe, and empowering learning environment. You will have space to connect with others in the room and practise what you learn immediately.

About The Session

So much of what we bring to our work with others depends on the very quality of our own presence. Yet presence is not something you can simply decide to have. It requires you to actually land, in your body, in the room, in the moment.

This session offers you a concrete, practical, easy to learn method for doing exactly that.

You will learn to regulate your nervous system with this somatic approach. This will help you shift out of activation or distraction. Instead, you will learn to become more fully grounded and embodied in your own presence. This will help you show up more fully with your client and in life.

It is also a tool you can share with your clients.to help them also to become more present . You can show them how to apply it in the many stressful situations that they may have to face in their life and work.

The 2-hour session blends short presentations, guided experiential exercises and partner work. You will leave with practices you can use straight away. All levels of experience are welcome.u can use straight away. All levels of experience are welcome.
