Description
HEMF is proud to present, Mioi Forster-Nakayama ,
2024 HEMF Research Grant Recipient.
Join Mioi as she presents findings of her current research into foster caregivers' experiences of caring for children living with preverbal trauma. Through a combination of research presentation and guided embodiment, participants will explore how the body holds and responds to the emotional demands of caregiving and professional practice.Using a mini somatic body mapping experience developed through her research, attendees will begin to gain practical strategies to support self-awareness, reduce the risk of secondary traumatisation and burnout, and deepen their capacity for sustainable, compassionate practice.
