Event description

EMBODIED WEAVING

Mindfulness, breath, movement and basket weaving workshop.

WEAVE: To make a complex story or pattern, from a number of interconnected elements.

This nourishing full day workshop will allow you the time and space to experience well being through movement, breath, creativity and connection to others. Most of our day will be immersed in learning the ancient art of bush basket weaving.

At a time where there is so much disconnection, these offerings will remind you to come back to your true Self, one that is centered and able to explore the inner and outer terrain of life with kindness, compassion and curiosity.

Join Yoga teachers and creative enthusiasts Jasmine Matus and Tracey Chappell as they share a series of breathing techniques, gentle movement practices, a 4-hour coil basket weaving workshop and a Yoga Nidra practice to interweave the story together.

Where: Tamarind Tea House, 24 McCabe Crescent, Arcadia, Magnetic Island.

When: Saturday October 16th, 2021 from 9 am – 5 pm. Please arrive 10 – 15 minutes prior to start time so we can commence promptly and make the most of our time together.

Investment: $160 for the 8 hour experience which includes breath and gentle movement session, 4 hr weaving workshop including all materials with extra to take home if you don't finish your piece on the day, delicious healthy morning and afternoon tea, guided restorative Yoga Nidra meditation. Please note lunch is not provided.

What to bring: BYO lunch or purchase your own from the Arcadia store, drinking water. Wear comfortable clothing that you can move freely in and warm layers. Bring a mat if you have one.
