Howard (Howie) Glasser, creator of the Nurtured Heart Approach, will experientially take you through the essence of the NHA. The Nurtured Heart Approach® (NHA) is a therapeutic method developed by Howie in 1992 to help children and adults with challenging behaviours. With certified trainers all around the world, it has been used successfully in a variety of settings including schools, homes, foster care, criminal justice, healthcare, and therapeutic environments. Howie has a background in family treatment, clinical studies, and educational leadership. Having worked across multiple settings in the healthcare industry, both as a healthcare professional and operational leader, Clinical Psychologist Bart Traynor will share how the NHA can be utilised to enhance your current practice, regardless of the age of your clients, or the modality within which you practice. Bart has been embracing and working with resistance for over 15 years. Bart has presented nationally and internationally as a Keynote speaker on how to thrive when living and working with children and adolescents with extreme behaviours. Additionally, he presents and consults to organisations and teams on mental health awareness, how to build mental fitness, and improve workplace culture. He is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society, Fellow of the Australia College of Clinical Psychologists, and an AHPRA Board Approved Clinical Supervisor.
