Event description
Join us for a gentle 1.5 hour bird walk around Emerald Lake Park.
This is a family-friendly walk will be hosted by Kirsty Costa from Weekend Birder. Kirsty is a nature educator and bird nerd, and the creator of one of Australia's Top 5 Science Nature podcasts.
Together, we'll explore the banks of Lake Treganowan and step into the surrounding bushland. This area is home to birds like the Superb Lyrebird and Satin Bowerbird (pictured).
What you need to know:
All ages and birdwatching abilities welcome
During the walk, we will practice identifying local birds and using the Aussie Bird Count app
Paths are accessible for prams and wheelchairs
Public toilets and drinking taps are available onsite
This event has a capped number of places - register to avoid missing out.
