Join us for an evening of vertical dance featuring established and emerging Bay Area artists. Stemming from the estuary of artistic research come six dynamic, tender, and evocative works in progress. EMERGENCE features work and performances from Faith Elder, Rose Huey, Suzanne Gallo, Megan Lowe, Rachel Maxwell, Annalise Ritter, Olivia Sander, and Roel Seeber.

Image Descriptions: The banner image exhibits seven photos of dancers in harness under the words 'EMERGENCE | VERTICAL DANCE ARISING FROM THE BANDALOOP ECOSYSTEM'.

The top row shows three photos (left to right):

1) Suzanne Gallo is dressed in white pants and a white tank and is flying high in a split-leg jump over a concrete building. The photo is taken from below, and hazy clouds provide a backdrop for Suzanne's flying body.

2) Faith Elder is dancing on a dimly lit stage in a light blue blouse and pinstripe pants. They are in a harness in the foreground of the shot and are moving through a wild handstand. White pieces of paper litter the stage and fly through the air around them.

3) Roel Seeber and Megan Lowe perform on the side of a lighthouse. Roel is standing on the side of the building with one hand on his rope and the other reaching to support Megan, who is extending out into space with an elongated body. The sky is a stormy grey and palm fronds peek in from the side.

The bottom row shows four photos (left to right):

1) Rose Huey dances on the side of a white building dressed in bright yellow and green flowing fabrics. They are captured in a jump with an extended body, their heart away from the wall. A bird flies close to Rose.

2) Rachel Maxwell is mid-jump, surrounded by granite boulders on the right and a flat granite wall on the left. Rachel's body is nearly silhouetted against a partly cloudy sky. She has bent legs and is creased at the hip.

3) Annalise Ritter flies high on the Breuner building in Downtown Oakland. Annalise is mid-jump with an extended body photographed against a clear blue sky.

4) Olivia Sander is captured in a close-up shot dancing on a brick building. They are standing on the wall with their fingers curled in front of them. Her head is in motion and her hair swirls in the air.
