Emergency Management Planing for Neighbourhood Houses
Event description
The frequency of severe weather events is increasing; storms, heatwaves, fire and flood. Join us at this practical workshop to learn how to develop an emergency action plan for your neighbourhood house.
The workshop will look at emergency management in the context of climate impacts, community resilience mapping and action planning.
The workshop is relevant for neighbourhood house managers, coordinators and committee of management. Other small community organisations are welcome to attend, however, the focus will be on neighbourhood houses.
Participants will be given a resource kit including policy and planning templates and climate anxiety resources.

Morning tea will be available from 9:00. The workshop will start at 9:30. Parking is available on site or on the street. Mernda Uniting Church Hall is 1km from the train station if you wish to catch public transport.
