Dr Abbie Tipler - VSS

Small Animal Surgery

Dr Abbie Tipler is a Small Animal Surgical Specialist at Veterinary Specialist Services Jindalee, with special interests in orthopaedics, spinal surgery, and brachycephalic care. She founded the VSS Jindalee Brachycephalic Care Unit in 2024 and is passionate about improving outcomes for these complex cases. Abbie has a strong commitment to supporting the referring veterinary community and enjoys sharing her surgical knowledge. She is proud to take part in VSS's Specialist Scrub-In initiative, where VSS surgeons visit local clinics to scrub in and assist with procedures. This program is one of the ways VSS aims gives back to the veterinary community, and Abbie is honoured to be involved.

Dr Louise Barbesgaard - AES

Dr Louise graduated from University of Copenhagen, Denmark in 2009 and started her career as an equine vet prior to discovering a passion for small animal emergency and critical care. She has had a broad international exposure including the US, UK and Middle East before settling in Queensland with her husband.

Dr Louise is a now a Senior ECC Vet at AES Jindalee and has a great desire to continue to build her expertise in the ECC field. Next year, she intends to commence her studies for the ECC Membership exams.
