Emerging Bio-Based and Upcycled Materials for Every-Day Use
Event description
Living in harmony with nature is essential to who we are and what we do. We will explore emerging bio-based materials and those that can be composted at end of life, and also focusing on upcycled materials, especially materials that can be recycled continuously (100% single material). Further, we will discuss the material applications and how we embed them in and throughout our work in precincts, buildings, particularly retail and products for the 21st century.
This event is proudly co-presented by Atelier and Collectivity Talks in collaboration with Melbourne Design Week as part of Material Matters 02.
"Material Matters 02" emerges from Atelier's groundbreaking 'Artisan in Residence' Program, illustrating a future where sustainability is at the forefront of design and artisanal innovation for future retail environments.
