Event description

Story Lab and The Literature Centre are joining forces to provide an exciting opportunity for young people ages 15-20. 

The Emerging Young Writers Group is an afternoon workshop for those wishing to expand their literary skills and learn the craft of creative writing. Attendees will get the chance to explore new ideas and share stories with fellow imaginative young people.

The workshop will be led by A.J. Betts, ​a West Australian author with six young-adult novels. Her books include, One Song (Pan Macmillan, 2023) the dystopian duology Hive and Rogue, as well as Zac & MiaWavelength, and Shutterspeed.

Tickets are free, but you'll need to reserve your place.


Date: Wednesday 11th of June

Time: 4pm - 6pm

What to bring: Writing materials (pens, paper, laptop etc.)

Venue: The Literature Centre, Corner of Knutsford St & Hampton Rd, Fremantle
