Registration and networking will start from 5:30pm with the workshop commencing promptly at 6:00pm.
Medical officers, General Practitioners, Nurses, Paramedics and all Medical Professionals working in a South Australian rural or regional emergency care setting are invited to attend this interactive, clinical case scenario based workshop,
This workshop will focus on elderly patients presenting with serious illnesses, sepsis, and life-threatening abdominal pain.

Learning outcomes:
- Prioritise the assessment, differential diagnosis and emergency management of the acutely ill geriatric patient.
- Differentiate the clinical findings, red flags and differential diagnosis in the geriatric patient presenting with serious illness.
- Summarise the assessment, differential diagnosis and management in the geriatric patient presenting with sepsis.
- Discriminate the assessment, immediate treatment and differential diagnosis in the geriatric patient with life threatening abdominal pain.
Accreditation: This workshop is pending accreditation with RACGP and ACRRM. Participants will receive a statement of attendance for 3.5 hours of CPD (3 hours Reviewing Performance, 0.5 hours Educational Activities).
The workshop is FREE to attend and catering will be provided.
